I applied for SNAP and received it and called the card services number and they told me the card was mailed 3-28-17 and I got the letter stating my qualifying for SNAP. The letter was mailed 3-23-17. I just called the local Dauphin county assistance office and went through the automated system thing and got to a line to talk about questions concerning letters or benefits and all I got was a recording and then it hung up!...WHAT is these peoples problem. We are on a tight budget and they HOLD US UP.
Just horrible. I've been to the office and literally watch these people ignore and hang up their calls. I wish I could get paid to sit around and daydream. I honestly don't see how these people get away with it.
I keep calling and calling and no answer smh. For two days I been calling non stop and got nothing...y'all gotta do better. Like why have a number if y'all don't use it. I'm tired of getting hung up on. Like I literally call when y'all first open and still get nothing smh
So thankful for the assistance program for helping me through my struggles. Making sure my family has food and healthcare. I work so hard and it seems almost impossible to still afford life. Yes its hard getting all the paper work and hours spent on the phone and going to the office to get assitance. But im thankful for the program to even exsist. I hope one day i wont have to rely on assistance but right now they are the only people somewhat helping through life especially for my little boy. Thank you everyone for making it happen.
I had to call a government office that in turn got me to a supervisor to finally help me. I am 65 and disabled yet they told me I did not qualify for medicaid. It gave me the impression they just didn't want to work and do the paperwork. I am really disgusted with this office. It's a nightmare if you have to actually go in there, but they don't answer their phones so you have no other choice.
