Wasn't even busy and we are still here, 4 HOURS LATER!! I'm going to have to leave my pregnant sister here, because I'm NOT missing the bus and walking a whole hour with my 1 yr old son home in the dark!! They are slow and careless! 1 is generous!

Update: My sister, Taryn Adams', nurse got mad because she didn't want to stay and get a pubic exam. So, he took his own time having her dispatched. Missed the bus!

I'm only giving the two stars because by the end of my outrageously long ER visit, I did indeed feel better... Going into an emergency room, I expect to wait, but not hours on end. I was triaged and they did an ekg and bloodwork almost immediately. Ekg comes back okay, and I'm told to go back out to the waiting room, where I sit for a minimum of another 2 hours, writhing in pain, along with several others. The biggest red flag during this visit was when they finally got me back and I was seen by at least 3 or 5 other people aside from the treating physician, and they all seemed to have a different understanding as to what my course of treatment was. One came into my room to put an IV in, and proceeded to tell me she was going to take blood, also. They had already done this, and to make it even better, she was prepping the arm that had the bandage from the previous blood work on it! "Oh, well then I'm not sure why I have an order for bloodwork." Listen lady, I'm not sure why either, but I'm telling you this was already done and I even got the results already, you better go ask somebody. I was not made aware that my arm was going to feel like it was being roasted over a fire when certain medications were administered, and was basically treated like I should just know that when questioned. Blood work and IV done on same arm, and blood pressure cuff left on and functional while IV was dripping, making it VERY uncomfortable on top of my already existing discomfort, which is why I came to the EMERGENCY room. Used to be my favorite hospital, made a special trip to the East Shore just to be seen here and it will not happen again. The PA I saw was really sweet, if that counts for anything...

Awful couple months ago had my 5 year old daughter sitting in there throwing up in waiting room for over 2 hours she had a bead stuck in her ear.. Walked out went to hershey er in and out in 45 minutes ..and again . Boyfriend is on steriods for allergic reactions he went in with a swollen face sat in osteo er for 4 hours they pulled him back and said we cant do nothing your already on steriods FRONT DESK LADIES ARE RUDE NOT CURTIOUS.....I wonder how many people have died cause they really dont care its obvious i bet the owners of the hospital wouldnt bring their kids here i bet they takr their familys elsewhere

My experience was not Healthcare related. I was walking my dogs close to the hospital when I saw a Raven take a baby rabbit from it's Warren. I followed the Raven and it appeared as though it dropped it on one of the roofs of the hospital. I spoke with a couple employees who were nice enough but had no compunction to aid in getting in touch with maintenance to see if someone might check the roof. Then I went to the information desk. The lady sitting there was glad to call Mike in maintenance. Mike was very kind and concerned and took the time to check the roof. The bunny was gone but he was very considerate and said he would check the other roof, where I saw the Raven go, and he also said he would check the grounds. It was such a relief to me to know that someone at Pinnacle has the humanity to care for all creatures great and small. That's what makes a hospital part of the community. If only the shuttle driver could have taken a moment to breathe instead of hounding me about my dogs. ( Pun intended). But really, step back for a moment instead of being a bully. Thank you so much to Mike and the sweet lady at the info desk.

My mother sent to ER on recommendation of gastrologist, who was recommended by another ER. I was happy when they took her back for a blood panel, x-Ray, CT scan right away. Then disappointment set in as we sat in the waiting room another 5 hours. Upon finally seeing the doctor, she did nothing for my mother's pain, did not prescribe anything for my mom's thrush, stated that she couldn't do anything for my Mom's condition, and recommended that we follow up with our family doctor. The doctor seemed uncompassionate and did not listen to my mom's health issues and seemed to have her mind made up before seeing my Mom. Here it is a couple days later her condition has worsened and the family doctor has recommended that we return to the ER as her condition worsens. I'm disappointed in healthcare system where the doctors send you on a merry-go-round of hospitals, doctors, and specialists but never actually get anything done. If doctors were paid based on successful treatments and happy patients, they would try harder for their patients.I am tired of hearing - I'm sorry there is nothing we can do for you, go see someone else. I sincerely had hoped that your hospital, which had been highly recommended, would be different. I'm thoroughly disgusted. Hippocratic oath huh?
