Slowest ER in North America. Brought our 11 year old son in, just to be safe and sure following a family pet (dog) minor bite incident that broke the skin on his hand. Arrived at 9:30, left at 2 AM! The injury was cleaned and a bandage strip was applied. Just a handful of patients in the waiting area but many employees sitting looking at cell phones and others walking around with coffee. If an ER is needed in the future we will definitely consider other options.
The worst experience ever! The doctors and nurses are so arogant. They don't listen to the patient.In my situation. And I made a report to their patient help rep or what ever they call them, and she sent the report right to the manager of the ER and that ldy said every was fine and that was it. That's crazy!!! I don't want to go into detail on here, but if I did you'll see how crazy this really is. Yesterday I went there because my doctor sent me there. I sat the for 4/2 to 5 hrs without being seen. They didi take my blood work ealier, I asked them could I have a copy of tha and go to another hospital since my insurance was charged for all of this. They called they police one me twice and told me I was going to be arrested for disorderly conduct. Becase I started video taping everything. So the police took me out in the cold to wait on my ride. Then tey said the hospital dropped that. Charge and said if I come on the hospital property again it's trespassing. Glad I videotaped this encounter Imissed so many of them with these people! And since I made that report it's worse for me.
The staff at this hospital are getting better dealing with me being a transgender woman. They are being professional and proactive now after I filed a formal complaint.
Recently hospitalized for hip replacement surgery. The efficiency, care, professionalism, friendliness, and bedside manner of the entire staff was exceptional. If your orthopedic surgery is schedule at Community General you are in for the best in care.
Arrived at the hospital weak, dehydrated and vomiting. I was sent to the waiting room where there were no seats available and waited for intake which took and hour and a half. All but one staff was rude and provided no inforation on wait time. After intake; even while being dehydrated; I was sent to have blood drawn. I am no healthcare professional and I am aware that it is difficult to take blood from a dehydrated patient. Needless to say when we got to tube 3 of 5 my vein stopped procuring specimens. I was sent back to the waiting room where I sat for another hour upon which I was given and anti-nausea medicine. I then waited another 2 hours. There was an elderly women accross from me; who had passed out earlier that day; sitting there for 5 hours!!!! In the time that I sat there, I had only seen 2 people taken in. Aside from all this the waiting room is small, cold, dirty and the seating is small and extremely uncomfortable. Needless to say I left as I could not take the discomfort any longer. This was by far the worst Emergency Room visit I have ever made in my 37 years on this planet. I will not be returning here.
