When I walked in I was sat pretty quick. As I say I noticed they seem to be shorthanded. I seen a lady that had been overlooked because she was sat in a corner. She was helped soon after they noticed her quietly waiting to be helped. I seen a manager talking to guests and asking for another chance because the service they received was not up to expectations. My personal overall experience was okay. My pancakes were cold but that was the only issue. As I wrote this review the people in front of me got their order wrong. In my opinion this establishment is not running at its full potential because they need better employees as well as a management; or they all need to step their skills up. John was good, he knew how to do his job.
You want IHOP to be good, but is it ever really good? Food was 'meh' at best. Went on a Sunday, so they were busy, though that's to be expected for a place that specializes in breakfast food. Service was also lacking. Likely better after a night out or on off hours than prime breakfast time.
Nice place. Clean and good service. Prices are pretty good too. It is a pancake house but there are some other things on the menu also. I had a bolt. It was tasty. I would go there again for sure.
It took 10 minutes till someone came to take our drink order. We asked 3 people for kids menus so our daughters could color. Never got them. When we tried to place our order, she took our appetizer order and left to put it in first, then came back to get the rest of our order. She forgot to put in the order of pancakes for our 3 year old. When they brought it out, there was a tomato piece on it. We asked to see a manager and we had to find him ourselves because nobody went to get him. The only good thing was that the food was good. I'm not one to complain much but this was our 4th visit here and 2 were bad. I doubt we will be back here again.
Okay it was Christmas but really....really.... Worst. Experience. Ever. Showed up at 11:30 and was there for 2 HOURS! Not a hostess in sight. Servers blatantly ignoring all of us standing there waiting for tables or at least to put our name on a list. At the hostess stand/desk/whatever you want to call it some little petite thing was talking about how they were closing in an hour. (Website said 3:00, their front door said 2:00) Also, talked about how she couldn't believe we were all there and why weren't we with our families and she would be at home with her family...in other words conversation that you have in the bus stand or the kitchen, fool! No one apologized, no one smiled, no one moved with a purpose, no one CARED.... My over medium eggs were over extra hard. My breakfast was missing sausage and there was no silverware we had to eat with plastic ware...did I mention no one CARED? These fools didn't even look at this like it's time to make some money...nope they were more concerned with closing. They finally got the opportunity, I guess a manager (wherever the hell they were) agreed to close and the sign got hung at 1:00. Sad.
