I Have been planning this for 8 months, I work in retail sales and knew I wouldn't have a chance to buy my ring over the holiday season unless I bought it at the end of October. So I decided to take a look and find the right ring and purchase it months ahead of time before I decided to ask my girlfriend to marry me. Prior to doing this I made sure I set up to have the bill sent to my email so there is no way she could have had it or found it in the mail. Unknowingly to me the day I bought my ring was the same day Kay jewelers sold their Kay's credit card business to another company called Genesis financial. At least that's the name I believe it's called. When that happened they did not follow or carry over the same information that Kay jewelers had for their online account and decided to send a statement to my mailing address. Sadly when the mail arrived yesterday my girlfriend opened it up and saw that I had purchased her and engagement ring. Blowing 8 months of planning because I wasn't planning on asking her until this, Spring I had planned a vacation for us where I was going to ask her on the vacation to marry me. I even paid ahead of time for a romantic getaway one day to do all of that and to propose to her. When I called Kay jewelers and asked them about this their only response was I'm sorry but there's nothing we can do about this unless you have a Delorean or something then we can maybe go back in time and fix it and the one girl even laughed at me. That girl wasn't in this retail store she worked at their customer doesn't care dept. She also stated to me that this was not the 1st kind of call she's had in the past few days and that she's had a couple issues that she said where other people had their surprises ruined. Sadly my advice is to stay away from Kay jewelers because they don't seem to either care or understand how much this hurt me and how much planning I had/have been putting into this.

Thank you Kay jewelers you ruined one of the most important moments of my life!
