First time here. Clean, friendly and good food for lunch. Will likely bump to 5 star after I try their dinner menu.
Had a nice meal here with colleagues. The food and service was very good. Pretty view of the capitol building with Christmas lights.
This is the most quaint little restaurant snuggled in near the capital building. While the hustle and bustle of city life stirs around like a storm outside, once inside you are transported to Italy. Feeling as if Sammy has invited you to his family's dining room and treating you to some of the fabulous not-so-American dishes if Italy. The food- Superb! The atmosphere - Delightful! Bring your favorite bottle of wine and eating companions and enjoy!
Delicious authentic Italian food! Our family loves this restaurant-never had a meal we did not like. The wait staff makes you feel welcome and service is excellent! Sammy himself cooks all of the food- but never had to wait long. He also makes time to greet you. Great reasonable lunch buffet. We have even gotten take-out when not enough time to eat there.
Location is great, with a view of the capital. Having been a regular customer for years now, the staff and owner always remember you and make you feel at home! Service is excellent and timely.
It doesn't matter what you order or how many in your party, every dish comes out within 1/2 hr and is hot! ( even when it's a packed house). And I've never heard one complaint about quality or quantity of food- ALWAYS DELICIOUS!! I'll be going to Sammy's as long as it's around! Tip- its BYOB so bring a bottle of your favorite wine to enjoy with the best Italian in Harrisburg!
I've been going to Sammy's for atleast 15 yrs now, shortly after moving to Harrisburg and it has always been my favorite restaurant and my 'go-to' for celebrations or when family is visiting. It's now their favorite too!!
