they litterally pushed my divorce threw the courts. If there is no blievers out there then this is not a good place to go, they say want they do,
The Bursar (Sharon Murphy) and the Registrar are (Molly Acri) are amazing.
Cons- The administration is small and is the worst. Dean of students (Sealing) is borderline useless. He has no idea what his job entails and in no way should be involved with interacting with students. If you need help, go to him last. (His secretary- Dorthoty Koncar is really nice though.)
Pros- The professors are not lacking in credentials and extremely knowledgeable. Professor like Diehm, Barros, Dernbach, and etc. are really there to teach students and very enthusiastic about their works. Most of professors are extremely friendly outside the classroom and willing to help.
Low rank school with a HORRIBLE curve meant to weed students out. With hard work, you will survive. If you're looking to transfer...I hope you are not in the top of the class because Widener will low ball you and try its best to keep you so you don't leave them. They are all about trying to up their statistics.
Based on the tone and crass language from the negative reviews, I suspect they are people with no reasonable basis for their comments, or that they are bitter flunkies who couldn't make it through law school. I am a Widener Law School alum. I'm not going to pretend that it is Harvard, but I received a solid education there. I also have a job that I love as a result of the school's extracurricular program(s). The cost is high. No doubt. But, it's law school. What do you expect?
Oh and don't park in Dean Meadows parking spot. She is basically bi-polar and will eat you verbally, regardless if you pay for her salary.
Widener Law is a program that is continuously improving by adding phenomenal professors and new elective programs. What started as a small school 20 years ago is becoming a program placing students in a variety of firms in and around the Harrisburg area.
