Wildwood Park has walking trails that are paved for easy walking and biking. There are long hills, so be aware of that. Their rougher nature walk along the water is on a slender trail that needs sneakers. We saw more wildlife, including a snake that crossed right in front of us!, on this trail. Wildwood's main building has a little gift shop and a large interactive information center about the park and the wildlife. Very kid orientated, though my husband and I found it interesting too.

Went to hike 3.1 miles loop around the park. Not wild about macadam. Tow path is nicer on the feet. I'll have to try the boardwalks next time. I'll bet they're more foot friendly.

This is the hidden gem of Harrisburg. Part of the 20 mile long greenbelt, excellent for walkers, runners, bikers, nature lovers and families. The Nature Center is top notch and they have excellent programs throughout the year. Their yearly art in the park is always wonderful and creative.

This place is a hidden gem. I visited and drove through the Harrisburg area many times, and didn't know about this park. At the main entrance of this park, the restrooms can be found. The parking lot starts at the restroom to the Nature Center. There were people sitting by the meadows on the path next to the parking spaces with binoculars and cameras nature watching. The park has binocular stations throughout the meadows.

The view of the meadows is beautiful and clean. I saw some wildlife. Look around, and search for them, while you walk around.

Wildwood Park is a wonderful place to go. It's very beautiful along the trails. There is artwork through the woods and it is amazing. A nice place to take the the kids and there is an info center with allot of amazing stuff. The artwork through the woods have won awards from people's choice awards. It is an amazing place for the family.

Because this was a quick stop for me, I walked the entire length of the boardwalk which was about a 2 mile around trip. The boardwalk is located in the meadows. What's interesting is that there are a lot of cobwebs on the boardwalk. Once not there, on my way back, there was one long string of cobweb. I visited in mid October.
