Awesome customer service and they were very rapid on getting my car repair but have decent rates and the lovely pet dog
Brought my car here for inspection and was told that I needed brake shoes and rotors for my front and rear brakes and that it would cost 850.00 dollars. That sounded a little expensive, so I told him to fail it and that I would take it to another shop. The other shop looked and said that I only needed front shoes and rotors for inspection for 304.00 dollars and that the rear shoes and rotors were fine. After having the other shop complete the job, I went back to meineke and told him what I found. He said that his mechanic has been with him for 15 years. Well, that's not a surprise if he keeps making the shop money like that! He said that he could check my car for another inspection fee. I told him no thank you and left. Why should I give him another chance to RIP me off?
I've been going to this Meineke on Paxton St for over 3 years. The owner is so nice and I always get great service from them. They are honest about their work and what my car actually needs, which I really appreciate. Their prices are good and we save a lot of money using their loyalty program. I've even asked them questions about buying a new car in the past and their advice was really helpful!
This place is a rip off. You cannot trust them. I went there three times before I went three times to another Meineke for the same problem. First time, I went there to have my brake rotors fixed. They have changed them and charged me $330. I still had the same problem, so I went back two more times. They charged me another $34 to fix the rear brake pad. I still had the same wheel-shaking-while-braking issue, so I ended up going to the other Meineke on Jonestown Rd. in Harrisburg. That place charged me $522 to replace my brake caliper, fluid, etc. After that, my steering wheel was shaking without braking, so I went back to Jonestown Rd. They said that the rear brake was out of balance. I still have the same wheel-shaking-while-braking issue, and another car shop told me that my front brake hardware is all messed up (and that is creating pressure on my rear brake).
I have always been treated well & the owner plus the employees are all very friendly. They always explain everything they do on my car & I feel like they care & as a woman they would not take me across. I also enjoy the owner's dog.
