We were returning the car to a different location (which may be why they ditched their old car with issues on us and kept their Camaro) before opening hours and were unable to speak to a Hertz rep to resolve the issues, but I would not rent a car from Hertz's Paxton Harrisburg location again because of the way the staff made me feel (railroaded), and because of their questionable honesty.
Problem 1: Our contract specified Camaro or similar. We were given a older Altima that rattled and had a leaky tire. We were told no Camaros were available. I could have lived with this had I not pulled into the lot to park momentarily and get directions before I left, AND - you guessed it - pulled in right beside a Hertz Camaro..
Had a great service here. Fast and efficient and the staff was professional, pleasant, welcoming and nice! Will rent here again.

Got into a car accident and I was hit. Not my fault. I was told to get a rental car at this location. So unfortunately, had to give them credit card to hold the car. Completed the transaction several days later. For some odd reason they held onto my card and charged me 200 dollars. When I called them they had no idea and claim it was a mistake. How you can make that big of a mistake I'm not sure. I will never return. I reccomend you all do the same
2. I didn't press it, but being slightly upset, I forgot to check the gas gauge until I was thirty miles down the road. It was half full (or less). We immediately checked our contract And - Yep, you guessed it again - they had marked it out as full and I was obligated to return it full.
We have had numerous good experiences with Hertz, but Hertz, Paxton St Harrisburg was not one of them. Problems could have been genuine or mistakes, but we got the distinct impression we were being railroaded.
